The Ijesa North Traditional Council in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State has suspended the Aketewi of Iketewi, David Ogungbemi, over the alleged gang-rape of a 14-year-old girl. The Nation reports that Osun State toMagistrates’ Court, sitting in Osogbo ordered that 62-year-old Ogungbemi, his son, Idowu Ogungbemi and Sarafa Olayiwola be kept in prison for 18, 2020. A statement jointly signed by the president of the council, Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Moses Agunsoye and the Secretary, Olomu of Ijaregbe, Oba Edward Adetimo on Monday noted that the suspension of Ogungbemi took effect from Sunday, directing the monarch to steer clear of all activities of Ijesa North Traditional Council and Obokun Chieftaincy Courtmmittee pending the decision of the court.
