…Weed Suspected To Be Indian Hemp With 10 Motorcycles
SUSPECT:- ISHOLA SUNDAY ‘M’ 22YEARS
On 7th of August, 2020 upon information received by the Officer-in-charge Zonal Monitoring Unit, SP. Uba Adams that some criminal elements are smuggling arms and ammunition into the country through Imeko border.
A team of Operatives from the Zonal Monitoring Unit swung into action and moved to Ibara Orile via Okedi Village along Abeokuta-Imeko road where they laid ambush.
Surprisingly, the smugglers changed their route and decided to converge elsewhere based on information from their spies who usually go before them to see if the road is free for them to move.
While they await the truck arranged to convey the smuggled items to their supposed destination in a border village between Ogun and Oyo States, the Operatives arrived and they all took to their hills leaving behind the smuggled items which was later discovered to be weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and their motorcycles.
One of them Ishola Sunday ‘m’ was not as lucky as others, as he was arrested with the motorcycles and consignments.
Efforts are in top gear to arrest fleeing suspects as investigation is in progress while suspects will be charged to court upon completion for prosecution.
