…After One Of Them Was Locked UpIt seems the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo is in a state of unrest.According to an Instagram blog, Gist lover, two queens of the Alaafin of Oyo, have allegedly left the palace.
The reports noted that one of the queens identified as queen Dami was locked up after allegedly going against a palace rule, this act prompted queen Dami and queen Anu to flee the palace for Lagos.The Instagram blog also noted that the queens who left to Lagos were trying to follow the footsteps of another queen, Ola who had earlier left the palace and was currently “cashing out in Lagos.”
Gist Lover’s post read; “Unrest in the palace: Oyo kingdom just lost two queens to the streets of Lagos state, these two queens left Oyo yesterday and got to Lagos around 2 am (midnight) according to them they are tired of the palace and how the king is treating them.“They want to follow Queen Ola footsteps seeing that she is cashing out in Lagos, according to our source Queen Dami was locked up in the palace prison for like a week as she was said to have gone against one of the palace rules.
“All her belongings were seized from her, after she was released, she took few of her cloth and fiam to Lagos, together with another Queen, Queen Anu.“If all the Queen dey run comot for palace, who go come remain, make all these queens stay one place o. I come in peace.”
Recall that Queen Olaitan Badirat Ajoke Adeyemi was said to have been sent packing from the palace because she was allegedly dating Fuji musician, Ayinde Marshal aka KWAM1.The news which emanated from an online portal, ESABOD went viral.In a voice note, Esabod pointedly accused the youngest wife of the Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, of having a relationship with K1, who was installed in January 2020 as the Maiyegun of Yorubaland by the highly revered monarch.
The queen had however claimed innocence of all accusations.She had proceeded to place curses on herself if the rumors were true about her and the respected artist.“May all the gods of Alaafin deal with me if I ever had any untoward relationship with K1.“I beseech the spirits of dead kings and queens to deal badly with me should the rumor be true but if the accusations aren’t true, may all the curses be that of Esabod and her offspring,” she said.Later on, she shared an Instastory on what a woman who had been divorced should do!Queen Ola wrote about divorce and how one can move on in such a situation.She wrote, “Divorce is okay, Breaking up is okay. Being alone is okay.“What is not okay is staying somewhere where you are not happy, valued, or appreciated, that’s not okay.”Meanwhile, just last month Ayaba Aishat Folashade Adeyemi, who is one of the wives to 81-year-old Alaafin of Oyo, had stated that her husband is more romantic than most young men.The mother-of-three disclosed this in an interview with The Nation.According to her, the Kabiyesi is so romantic, he shows affection more than most young men.Her words, “Kabiyesi is very romantic.
