Olasupo Advice PJAN On Security, Sympathize With Harassed Members


The Chairman, Photojournalists Association of Nigeria (PJAN), Otunba Kola Olasupo has advice the members of the Association to restrict their movement during this protest period.

PJAN Chairman, Olasupo made this known in a press statement sent across to the members of the association today Friday 23rd October, 2020 in Lagos.

Olasupo said “Now that most police stations are being burnt and looted, let’s restrict our movement and prevail on our family members to watch theirs as well.

The looted arms are currently in the wrong hands, they’re moving freely now without restrictions especially since Police have been demobilized & traumatized. This is not the time to show off or be indifferent to people around us.”

PJAN Chairman said if you must buy something in supermarket or a shop, you should do in a convenient environment.
“If you must buy, buy at a secure supermarkets/shops. Don’t open wide your wallets to show off the contents, give help if you can but only if it’s convenient…List your priorities.”

“He said we should check on ourselves from time to time and maintain good relationships with our neighbors and members of communities /estates.”

Also we should obey instructions given by govt and stay safe.

Olasupo also use the moment to advise the members to remember to pray for our nation as we pass through a very challenging times. He wish God heal our nation and grant us peace. “Let’s also remember to pray for our Nation, this is a very challenging times for us, May God heal our Nation and grant us peace.”

In another statement Olasupo on behalf of PJAN EXCO, wish to Sympathise with PJAN members that were Harassed and Maltreated by Police Officers and Hoodlums in the cause of doing their routine work in the past few days.

“We feel your pain as we advice members to be careful and watch their Environment before moving out.
No photo is worth your life so stay safe and remember that when there is life there is hope. “Your family needs you mostly, so be wise and be security conscious of your movements.

Lastly he pray for restoration of peace. “May the Almighty God protect our Nation and restore peace back to our Land. Time of crises like this anything can happen so be vigilant and be prayerful. May God protest all our PJAN Members and our extended families.”
