Multiple Vehicular Crash At World Oil Filling Station after Kara Bridge

A Daf tanker loaded with PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) exploded at World Oil Filling Station after Kara Bridge on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway outward Lagos.
The explosion which occured at 0017hrs on Saturday 7th November, 2020 happened when the tanker fell and immediately went into flame with the fire following the trail of the spilled PMS at affected other 28 parked vehicles close to the scene.

However the rescue teams of FRSC and the Lagos Fire service were prevented from getting to the scene of the crash by some hoodlums who were with dangerous weapons but later reconvene after security beef up at the scene.

At the scene two dead bodies burnt beyond recognition were recovered (the tanker driver and his assistance).

Th rescue team was led personally by the Sector Commander Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide.

The debris is now being removed from the scene by FRSC heavy duty tow truck and that of Julius Berger.

The road is now opened for movement but FRSC men are on ground controlling traffic.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.

The Sector Commander also enjoined all motorists to always obey all traffic rules and regulations by driving safe and staying safe at all times.
