On Friday, July 22, an accident at the Omotosho Step Down Bridge on the Ore-Lagos Expressway in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State resulted in the fatal burning of nine people.
Two vehicles were involved in the early-morning collision: a Honda Accord Saloon and a white Toyota Hiace bus.
The tyre of one of the vehicles burst and this led to a head-on collision which later resulted in a fire that burnt all occupants of the vehicles beyond recognition.
The remains of the victims had been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital in Ore.
