Denial Of Order Given To Commercial Banks To Receive N500, N1000 Old Notes: “Hide And Seek Game” Continues Between CBN & Nigerians, On One Hand, NNPC & Nigerians On Other Hand

It’s disheartening for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to continue remaining insensitive with its stand of not obeying the Supreme Court Order and with its non – charlant attitude of handling the Currency’s swap particularly now that the protests against it are already spreading across the States of the Federation and leading to the loss of lives in some parts of the Country.

An organisation tagged as “Coalition for A Better Nigeria”, founded 2009 at Rockview Hotel, 23 Road, FESTAC Town, Lagos State
An Umbrella Body of Hundreds of Youths’ and Students’ Organisations within and outside Nigeria projecting the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu through its National Coordinator, Comrade Awa Bamiji made this known to theforesight.com.ng early this morning.

We therefore, appeal to all and sundry, to please remain calm in the face of hardship, suffering, pain and discomfort in the land because “there’s no history of unbroken darkness, after darkness, comes daylight” – Obafemi Awolowo.

The target is to relax this policy that has no human face after the February 25 Presidential/National Assembly election or at worst, after March 11 Governorship/House of Assembly election, forgetting that, even Mr. President, is under obligation to obey the Supreme Court Order.

The positions of both the Supreme Court and Council of State pitch tent with the suffering masses but due to internal pressure from the Cabals inside the Government or otherwise, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, in his broadcast decided to extend validity of Only N200 till April 10, while the higher Currencies, old N500, N1000 notes that are needed most for serious businesses, bulk like about 80% of which had already been withdrawn from circulation by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the new Notes as their replacements are not made available enough, are still being pronounced non-legal tender.

CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele new Notes as currency replacements are not made available enough, N500, N1,000, still being pronounced non-legal tender.

Apart from suffering arising from fuel scarcity, we are still being denied uninterrupted access to our hard-earned currencies domiciled in various Commercial Banks in our fatherland at a crucial period when Government in power is supposed to be more friendly in every sensitive area that has to do with voting population so as to win the election again through the popularity of the Ruling Party but the inhumane treatments that are being melted out are summarily saying this coming 2023 general election is different from that of 2015 and 2019.

The despirate efforts confirming the allegation that few Cabals in the Aso Rock Villa are tirelessly working with the Opposition to ensure that All Progressives’ Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, lose the election. They forget that the way of the Lord is different from the way of human beings.

Next weekend is around the corner and the eligible voters are fully aware of the ongoing power play in town. The 30 year old bitter experience of June 12 election annulment that looked strange at the beginning had now made Nigerians to be wiser than any other coup plotters of such.

Awa said: “By God’s grace, this storm will soon be over, we sing the new song”
