The death has occurred today 4th March, 2023 of Abdullahi Sani Abacha, son of former Head of State of Nigeria, General Sani Abacha.
Abdullahi Abacha, the second-to-the-last son of the Sani, a Nigerian military officer and politician who ruled as the military head of state after seizing power in 1993.
The death of the son of former military ruler was pronounced dead on Saturday afternoon.
A family source said: “He was hale and hearty last night but was found dead this morning. He died peacefully in his sleep.”
His elder brother, Mahmud Sani Abacha wrote on his Facebook page, “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Illahim Rajiun! I just lost my brother Abdullahi.
May his soul rest in Jannatil Firdaus Amin”.
It was gathered that the funeral prayer was schedule for 4:00pm at the National Mosque, Abuja today.
Born in 1987, the deceased was one of nine children left behind by the late military dictator, Sani Abacha GCFR who also died 8th June 1998.
Abacha’s seizure of power was the last successful coup d’etat in the Nigeria’s military history.
