Death is an envitable end of human existence. When it will happen and how it will happen are always determined by our Creator, Almighty God. “From Him we come, unto Him we shall return”.
With heavy heavy heart but in total submission to the will of Almighty God, the National Coordinator Coalition of Pro – Democracy Groups for A Better Nigeria, June 12 Activists, Comrade Awa Bamiji, announce the death of Mrs Omowunmi Felicia Orisagbemi, aged 50.
A caring Wife of Comrade Akinola Orisagbemi, former Aide of late Alhaja Kudirat MKO Abiola, who later became popular as a notable June 12 Victim, after surviving 16 gunshots fired at different parts of his body by some mobile Policemen right inside the premises of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on July 28, 1994.
This occurred during the June 12 Election Actualisation Struggle, which had negatively impacted his health condition since then till now. He had 12 surgeries along the line.
The Deceased passed on Sunday night around 10:00pm after two-day brief illness at a private Clinic in Agbado/Oke-Aro area of Ogun State. She survived by her husband, Akinola, and two Children.
The burial arrangement will follow in few days to come according to Christian rite. May her soul rest in peace.
