The football world was enveloped in the silent state of shock, as Chelsea against predictions Chelsea mercilessly beat European Champions, Paris SSG to win the prestigious Club World Cup 2025!
Chelsea convincly won the Club World Cup with an incredible 3-0 bashing of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), on Sunday at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey, United States of America.
The highly motivated Chelsea players led by tormentor-in- chief Cole Palmer, came into the game with the vision of winning the match.
This they achieved as Palmer didn’t waste time to scored two classical goals at the early stage of the match. He netted in the eighth and twenty second minutes.
In addition, Palmer who was clearly the man of the match assisted fast rising striker Joao Pedro with a pass to net the third goal in the 30th minutes of play.
No doubt, Chelsea who recently won the European Conference League, reduced the highly rated favourite PSG to ordinary paper weight visionless footballers.
As PSG were struggling to match the fantastic football displays of Chelsea, the blues were turning out more clinical performances which totally crippled the football winning strategy of PSG.
The Champions League winners were no where to be found in the match. Chelsea took total control of the match, entertained their joyous teeming fans in the stadium cheering them endlessly until the end of the first half.
In the second half, PSG improved in their attacking in attempt to score their own goals. But they were unsuccessful with the surprising sudden display of excellent goalkeeping skills by Sanchez.
With the competent introduction of Delap to strengthen Chelsea forward. It was more difficult for PSG to score as Delap troubled Donnarumma in his solo efforts to score the fourth goal.
PSG were fully frustrated and started making unnecessary mistakes which adversely affected their delivery. However they never gave up especially their “talisman” -Ousamane Dembele.
Harkimi was another commendable player who was determined to overcome the powerful skills of Chelsea, but their overwhelmed team mates dragged them down.
Chelsea, who capped a successful season, with the European Conference trophy won, masterfully out played PSG’s who were so frustrated and ended the game with ten men as PSG Joao Nevas got a red for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair.
It was a very disappointing outing for the Champions League winners. They couldn’t even get a consolidary goal throughout the Club World Cup final.
As t the end of the thrilling encounter, watched by dignitaries such as the US President, Donald Trump, the score remain 3-0 against PSG. it was a very bad night for the French Champions
All their tactical strategy failed woefully! As the more impressive Chelsea stunned football fans in the stadium and all over the world watching on television and online platforms.
The defeat ends the historic feat of Luis Enrique of winning every final he has contested for. It marked a new record of his first defeat in a final.
