In a welcomed efforts to alleviate the economic burdens of the masses, the Deputy Chief Whip of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Setonji S. David, representing Badagry Constituency II, is set to empower over 1,000 residents of Badagry through a massive empowerment programme. In continuation of his commitment to grassroots development.
According to a press statement from him, the event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 11th October 2025, at the Nigerian French Language Village, Ajara, Badagry, beginning at 11:00am.
He explained that “the empowerment programme will feature the distribution of key business support tools including grinding machines, hair dryers, generator sets, barbing equipment and more. In addition, cash empowerment will be provided to less privileged individuals, petty traders, entrepreneurs, youths, aged citizens, and other vulnerable groups across the constituency and beyond.
Hon. Setonji David reaffirmed that the gesture is strictly humanitarian. “This is not political, it is an initiative to support people at critical points of need. Ranging from the young to the elderly, the petty traders to small entrepreneurs. We are committed to making life easier and creating opportunities for our people,” he stated.
The statement informed that the APC Lagos State Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, will chaired the program, alongside other dignitaries and stakeholders, will grace the occasion.
