The Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Skills Acquisition centres have been shut down since Monday 14th March, 2022, following the directive of the ministry.
This is as a result of agitations from the instructors, which bothers on poor salary and welfare, non, inadequate and delayed supply of instructional materials.
Lack of power and proper maintenance of serviceable equipments. The students whose semester examination was supposed to commence this week, were turned back and their hope of resumption now hangs in a balance.
The Principals and instructors are said to be seeking common grounds to resolve the issues. How this will end is yet to be determined.
