I receive the news of his death with a rude shock when PJAN Chairman, Otunba Kola Olasupo announced the demised of our Leader, our Boss and Teacher, Former Chief Photographer of TheGuardian Newspaper Ltd, “Olola” Oseni Yusuff this morning on the Association platform.

According to the PJAN Chairman, “Baba Oseni” died after brief illness at the age of 71 years. Elder Oseni Yusuff was a pioneer staff of the Comet Newspaper and his colleagues, younger ones fondly called him “Olola” meaning the “Wealthy man”.

But, I usually call him “ZOOM” and he called me “Baby Photojournalist” when I joined TheGuardian as Photojournalist at Rutam House, Lagos. “Baba Oseni” used to guard me to grow! Baba Oseni as we normally called him taught us on focusing and zooming! He was a teacher of photography, very nice to be with also.

To some younger ones, he was seen as a great leader, teacher and a professor of photography. He was a very committed member of PJAN. Honest, hard working and friendly man to be with.

Here are some of the condolence massages;
