JUNE 12 @ 30: COALITION OF PRO -DEMOCRACY GROUPS SET TO PAY HOMAGE TO MKO ABIOLA FAMILY, CELEBRATE JUNE 12 VICTIMS

This is in continuation of our June 12 @ 30 World Press Conference held last Monday, 12 June, 2023, inside Afri Hotels Suites and Restaurants Limited, Opposite Defence College, Central Area, FCT, Abuja, at 12pm. Its memory still lingers on.

According to information going round by the National Coordinator Coalition of (Pro-Democracy Groups) for A Better Nigeria; Executive President, Bola Ige Centre for Justice (2004-till date); Secretary, Beko Ransome-Kuti Memorial Committee (2008-till date); foremost June 12 Activist (for decades); President-General, Grand Council of Yoruba Youths (2001-till date); and Political Strategist to the Leadership of Afenifere (2001-till date), Comrade Awa Bamiji.

Last week Thursday, COALITION OF PRO -DEMOCRACY GROUPS formally notified President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, of the group’s intention to pay him homage with key dignitaries in attendance after the press briefing.

Awa said the plan on ground now is to move from Aso Rock Villa to Lagos House, Ikeja, to also thank Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for holding forth regarding sponsoring annual Celebration of June 12 in Lagos State, and from there, to MKO Abiola House, 45/46, MKO Abiola Crescent, Off Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos State, to finally round up by praying for the MKO Abiola family and June 12 Victims, who have been languishing in agony for the past 30 years, but we are now combining these 3 outings together in one place, MKO Abiola House, because of busy schedules of both Mr. President and Mr. Governor. Therefore, they are going to remain the Chief Host and Host respectively for this same programme.

Special Prayers for the family and all June 12 Victims are to be offered by the following close Associates of Late President MKO Abiola, GCFR:

Muslim prayer by Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Chairman, Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Lagos State; christian Prayer to be said by Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu, Leader, Yoruba Unity Forum while Araba Yemi Elebuibon, Agba Awo Ti Ile Oduduwa will say the traditional prayer.

Special Guests of Honour: Members of MKO Abiola (GCFR) family, Guests of Honor: All notable June 12 Victims while the Royal father of the day are: His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mahud Olalekan Alli Okunmade II, Olubadan of Ibadanland.
