Keyamo, Aviation Minister Receives Ilaro Polytechnic ‘Prestigious Fellowship’ Award

The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship Award, the highest honorary award of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro. Ogun State .This recognition was bestowed upon him by the institution’s Rector, Dr. Mukail Aremu Akinde, during the 45th Founder’s Day Anniversary and 22nd Convocation Ceremony held earlier this week in Ilaro, Ogun State.

The Fellowship Award, according to a press release by e-Signed by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser to the Minister on Media and Communication, to (theforesight.com.ng) TheForesight Media Platform’s correspondent yesterday reveal is reserved for high-profile dignitaries of Ogun origin who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to national development. The Minister, whose mother is of Yewa descent, was honoured for his transformative impact on Nigeria’s aviation industry and his outstanding contributions to national growth.

Beyond his remarkable achievements in the aviation sector, the award also recognizes Keyamo deep-rooted ties to the Ilaro community. Not only is he maternally from Ilaro, but his father and grandfather also spent a significant part of their lives in the town, further cementing his strong affiliation with the institution and the region.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Keyamo, expressed profound gratitude to the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, for the honour. He reiterated his commitment to advancing education, infrastructure, and economic growth, emphasizing that these elements are critical for national development.
