Shepherd-In-Charge of Celestial Church of Christ, Genesis Parish, Alakuko, Lagos, Prophet Dele Ogundipe, has been putting smiles on the faces of some residents of Lagos State since the outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria in March, 2020.
The gesture, which we gathered had been a continues one, was extended to Christians and Muslims.
Items being shared by the cleric included Rice, Beans, Yams, cash, Noodles, Milo, Garri, e t c.
It was also gathered that the man of God also gives out cash donations ranging from N5,000-N100,000 to the motherless, widows, youths, individuals and families.

The donations are done separately at different locations in Lagos as part of the church’s economic palliatives measures to battle the economic hardship created by the ravaging and deadly Coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID- 19 Pandemic.
One of beneficiaries of the gesture, who begged for anonymity, said that this kind of gesture is expected from men of God.
“Look at Prophet Dele Ogundipe, he has put smiles on the faces of many people. Our government locked us down for some many weeks and they couldn’t offer us anything.
“The next thing we saw from them is an increase in tariff of essential items and hike in prices of petroleum. I pray that God will continuously bless Prophet Dele Ogundele for this gesture,” he said.
Prophet Dele Ogundipe was quoted to have recently enjoined Nigerians to be law-abiding, obey directives and implement all other precautionary measures outlined by the government and health authorities to halt the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic.

He said that the continuous provision of palliatives to the poor should be the social responsibility of the government at all levels as well as well-meaning Nigerians, groups, and organizations in order to cushion the effects of the outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic, which has now affected over 200 countries in the world.
